How to play :In each round of "SHUFFLE SPELLA", you will be presented with a set of letters (like OPT). Your goal is to rearrange these letters into a real English word (like TOP, POT, OPT). Try to make the correct word before time runs out. If you see "GAME OVER", you may choose to "CONTINUE" and start again from where you left off. But, be careful. Many clues have more than one answer and we have ranked the answers as GOOD, COOL, GREAT and GENIUS. Each answer is worth a different number of points - GENIUS is the most - so try to use the most difficult words you know. For example, if the clue is EFIL, you could answer LIFE or FILE or LIEF. In this case, LIEF is the best - it is GENIUS.
There are two versions of SPELLA : a fill-in-the-blank version and a letter-shuffle version. We call these two versions, "Blank Spella" and "Shuffle Spella", respectively. All the words found in these games (BLANK SPELLA and SHUFFLE SPELLA) are from the GENIUS English-Japanese Dictionary (4th edition - "G4"), released by Taishukan Publishing Co. Ltd. If you enter a word that is not included in this dictionary, it will be marked "INCORRECT". Please forgive us if your vocabulary is better than ours!
